Fruit Carving & Potato Printing….All In The Name Of Healthy Eating!

When CloudTEN were asked to arrange some activities for a 'Healthy Eating' event at the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre in Staines, we knew exactly what to do....it involved a lot of fruit and veg, a thai chef and a fair amount of mess!

Earlier this month CloudTEN Events were approached by good friends Primal PR (www.primalpr.com) and asked to help out with a 'Healthy Eating' event at Elmsleigh Shopping Centre (http://www.elmsleigh.co.uk) in Staines! 'No problem' we said...so this is what we did!

Fruit Carving - ably assisted with the skillful Thai Chef, Nat, Elmsleigh showcased an array of exquisite fruit and veg carvings....from watermelons, pumpkins, radishes, cucumber and apple...it's amazing what can be created when you know how! The public were enthralled with the whole idea, with many people vowing to go home and have a try themselves! (Hopefully there weren't too many cut fingers!)

Cotton Bag Potato Printing - who ever thought this would be a good idea....oh right, that would be us! It actually was a huge amount of fun - the kids loved having a go as well as taking something memorable home with them. Using pears, grapes, apples, potatoes, celery and all manner of other tasty morsels there were some spectacular artworks created! It was messy to say the least...but thankfully with Superdrug nearby, it didn't matter if we cleared them out of babywipes! 

These were just an example of the many workshops that can be arranged through CloudTEN Events. Our Fruit Carver came so highly recommended that we already have subsequent bookings for her in 2010...so if you'd like to show off some edible artwork at your venue, just get in touch!
